Before we
publish,
we want to
listen.
We are building a space for stories, lived experience, useful ideas and honest conversations about disability, dignity, faith, work, families, accessibility and belonging.

Disability deserves better conversations.
Conversations that move beyond pity, assumptions and one-dimensional stories.
Africa Ability works alongside persons with disabilities, caregivers, families, churches, organizations and communities. This space will allow us to slow down, listen, ask better questions and share what we are learning.
Some articles will be practical. Some will be personal. Some will challenge how disability has traditionally been understood. Others will simply make room for a voice or experience that deserves to be heard.
Inclusion is not only about making room for people. It is also about making room for their voice.
What might we talk about?
These are starting points. The questions you send us may take the conversation somewhere we have not considered yet.
What are we
not talking
about enough?
Maybe there is a disability question you keep hearing.
Maybe something about church, employment, caregiving or access needs a better answer.
Maybe you simply want to hear someone's lived experience.
