CORPORATE INCLUSION & PARTNERSHIPS

Inclusion that works in the real world.

At Africa Ability Trust, we believe meaningful inclusion begins with a choice to see a person's potential before their disability. We partner with forward-thinking companies, startups and organizations that want to move beyond basic compliance and build workplaces, services, events and systems where persons with disabilities can participate, contribute and thrive.

EMPOWERING ABILITY. RESTORING DIGNITY.

We bring disability knowledge, lived experience and practical implementation together so inclusion moves from an intention on paper to something employees, customers and communities can experience.

CORPORATE ECOSYSTEM ENGAGEMENT

Nairobi Startup Summit & Awards 2026.

Africa Ability Trust took part in the Nairobi Startup Summit & Awards 2026, an entrepreneurship and innovation platform connecting startups, SMEs, investors, corporates, policymakers and ecosystem builders.

For us, participation in spaces like this matters because the technologies, businesses and systems shaping Africa's future should include persons with disabilities from the beginning.

We brought disability inclusion into conversations around innovation, entrepreneurship, ESG, artificial intelligence, accessible events, responsible enterprise and inclusive growth.

CORPORATE DIRECT ACTION

Maridady Wezesha Program.

Mobility can change how a person studies, works, participates and moves through everyday life.

Africa Ability Trust partnered with Maridady Motors to support the Maridady Wezesha Program, an initiative by Maridady Foundation that empowers persons with disabilities with electric wheelchairs.

The program is designed to help restore dignity, independence and productivity by improving mobility and reducing barriers that can limit participation in family life, education, work and community life.

Together, Africa Ability Trust and Maridady Motors distributed electric wheelchairs at A.I.C. Thika Town, bringing the partnership directly to persons with disabilities and their families.

Mobility support that makes everyday participation possible.

A short look at the Maridady Wezesha Program wheelchair handover at A.I.C. Thika Town, where Africa Ability Trust and Maridady Motors worked together to support persons with disabilities with electric wheelchairs.

The handover reflects what this partnership is about: improving mobility, strengthening independence and helping people participate more fully in everyday life, family, work and community.

HOW WE PARTNER

Five ways we help organizations move inclusion forward.

A partnership can begin with one training, accessibility question or event and grow into wider organizational change. The scope depends on what your organization needs.

01

Accessibility audits: practical review of physical spaces, communication, customer journeys and digital experiences.
Capability standards: defining what meaningful disability inclusion can look like across teams.

Event-access planning: considering access before participants arrive.
Inclusive programming: bringing disability perspectives into event conversations.

BEYOND COMPLIANCE

Build inclusion into the system.

Disability inclusion should not depend on one enthusiastic employee, one annual event or one CSR campaign.

Sustainable inclusion is built into how an organization recruits, communicates, designs spaces, develops products, hosts events, trains teams and relates to customers.

Africa Ability works with organizations to examine those systems practically. We help teams identify barriers, strengthen internal capability and develop solutions that make inclusion part of ordinary organizational life.

Our role is not to give companies a generic disability checklist. We work with the realities of each organization, its people, operations, customers and ambitions.

THE SHIFT

From asking “Are we compliant?” to asking, “Can persons with disabilities actually participate, work, communicate, lead, access our services and belong here?”

OUR 3D APPROACH

Inclusion with depth, not decoration.

Our corporate work is guided by the same framework that shapes Africa Ability: Dignity, Deep Inclusion and Dynamic Wholeness. Together, these principles help organizations move from surface-level representation toward systems that respect the whole person.

01

Dignity

People are not reduced to diagnoses, limitations or inspirational stories. We help organizations build cultures that recognize agency, skill, professionalism, choice and equal human worth.

02

Deep Inclusion

Inclusion is embedded in recruitment, facilities, communication, digital access, events, customer experience, policies and everyday decision-making rather than treated as an occasional initiative.

03

Dynamic Wholeness

Employees and communities are whole people. We consider professional, economic, social, emotional and practical participation so inclusion supports people beyond simply entering a building.

AN INCLUSIVE ECOSYSTEM

Inclusion should travel through the whole organization.

Disability inclusion is strongest when it is not isolated inside HR, CSR or one department. We help organizations think across the full experience of employment, service delivery and public engagement.

01

Leadership

Strategy, accountability, policy direction and visible commitment from decision-makers.

02

People

Recruitment, onboarding, accommodation, development, promotion and team culture.

03

Places

Offices, meeting spaces, events, facilities and physical customer environments.

04

Communication

KSL, accessible information, digital access and communication that reaches different users.

05

Community

CSR, procurement, partnerships and the wider social impact created by the organization.

IN PRACTICE

Different partners. Different needs. One commitment to inclusion.

Our corporate work can begin in very different places: a leadership conversation, an accessible event, a workplace challenge, a CSR partnership or a procurement opportunity. We shape the engagement around the organization and the people it serves.

BUILDING CORPORATE CAPABILITY

Helping large institutions think about disability inclusion at scale.

We have engaged with one of Kenya's leading banks in foundational conversations around disability inclusion and the opportunity to strengthen how large institutions serve both employees and customers with disabilities.

For an organization serving thousands or millions of people, inclusion cannot depend on one person or one department. It needs to move through systems, leadership, customer experience, communication, facilities, technology and workplace culture.

CAPACITY FOR INCLUSION • AT SCALE
ACCESSIBLE EVENTS

Start Right Summit

Professional Kenya Sign Language interpretation supported greater access for deaf participants during a major business and professional gathering.

STRATEGIC CSR

Maridady Motors Ltd & Wezesha Foundation

SOCIAL ENTERPRISE

Business Forums & Corporate Markets

Through the AMAI Collection, caregiver-made products enter wider business spaces through exhibitions, purposeful procurement and corporate-gifting opportunities.

INCLUSION CONSULTANCY

Building Beyond Compliance

We help organizations examine how disability inclusion appears in workplace culture, customer experience, accessibility, communication and operational systems.

ACCESS SHOULD BE DESIGNED IN

From the boardroom to the main stage.

Accessible events do not begin when a participant arrives. They begin during planning. Africa Ability can work alongside organizers to think through communication, participation and practical access before the first guest enters the room.

KSL

Professional Kenya Sign Language

Interpretation for conferences, summits, business meetings and appropriate public events.

PLANNING

Accessibility Before the Event

Reviewing participation needs, venue access, communication and event flow in advance.

PARTICIPATION

More Than Attendance

Designing events so persons with disabilities can engage with content, speakers and other participants meaningfully.

REPRESENTATION

Disability in the Conversation

Supporting organizations to include disability perspectives where innovation, policy, business and social impact are being discussed.
